Order book of RM1.14bil to keep it busy until 2011

KUALA LUMPUR: Ireka Corp Bhd, whose construction order book has surpassed the RM1bil mark, has a “healthy buffer against the volatile prices of raw materials,” said group managing director Lai Siew Wah.

With an order book worth RM1.14bil, the company would be kept busy through to 2011.

Just sharing two progress photos on The Oval (by GuocoLand (M) Bhd, formerly Hong Leong Properties Bhd) that I took about a month ago.  The development, located along Jalan Binjai,  will have an estimated gross development value of over RM800mil and total saleable floor area of 586,356 sq ft. It was officially launched in June this year. Initially the project was launched by Titan Debut Sdn Bhd but last year it was bought over by Astute Modernization Sdn Bhd (a unit of GuocoLand).

The Oval is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. One more photo after the jump.

One of the last few residential development plots in the popular Sunway Damansara is now being cleared to make way for development. Earlier earmarked as condo development, it looks like SunCity is instead going for Bungalows development. A call to the Sunway Damansara sales office confirmed this, but no official wording yet.

The plot of land, which is located at the very end of the road leading to Parkville Garden Townhouses, as well as Sunway Damansara Technology Park, seems a bit odd for a residential development due to its very close proximity with the Technology Park. However, it does face the hill – so there would be some sort of greenery there to offset this. More information will be posted once this is confirmed.

Becoming trendsetters — that is how Boustead Properties Bhd director Datuk Ghazali Mohd Ali describes its successful Mutiara Damansara development in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is the fourth time that Boustead Properties has made it to the Top 10 of The Edge Top Property Developers Awards. This year, it took the 10th position.
