The only way is up!

Monday, August 10th, 2009

BRDB’s The Troika is climbing at a breakneck speed, and it’s almost reaching it’s pinnacle already. And I must say it’s looking extremely sexy. However, it’s a shame that this stunning beauty is surrounded by the most hideous buildings in KLCC. We need more pretty skyscrapers like The Troika. Two more photos after the jump. Photos are taken on 5th August 2009.

Progress photos of Ameera Residences, SS2

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

Progress photos of Ameera Residences, SS2 as of 5th August 2009. Am loving the gym as pictured above. Work has started on the guardhouse and you can also see there are many green plants being transported and planted within the vicinity. Also interesting choice of dark gray as the color of the paint of the perimeter wall as I recall from the photos in the brochure, it’s supposed to be of a cleaner color. It actually matches the color of the lanai windows, but would be interesting to see how it all looks like after more plants are in place. More photos after the jump.

Sinaran TTDI speeds ahead

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

After an absence of any construction work on Sinaran TTDI, UDA has finally commence the construction and work is progressing fast to catch up on the lost time. I have seen workers work late past 9pm daily in order to meet the mid 2010 deadline. Progress looks good but let’s hope that this is not in the expense of the quality of workmanship delivered to the customers. Two more photos after the jump.

Twin Palms, Sungai Long Progress Photos

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

A few months ago, a friend of mine dropped me a bombshell and told me that she had just got a unit in Twin Palms, Sg Long. While I have seen the beautiful newspaper adverts and the almost permanent advertisement on one of the overhead advertisement along Jalan Tun Razak, I have never actually checked out the place for real. So I decided to follow her to see the progress of her unit.

Twin Palms is located just beside the SILK Highway. If you are coming from Mines, you will need to exit just before the Sg. Long toll plaza. After many many tolls coming from Damansara, we finally arrived the development and is welcome by a very futuristic looking guardhouse. I must say my first impressions were very good of this place. It reminded me very much of Desa Park City, where the landscaping is very fresh with clean and linear lines.

The Clubhouse, called Orinoco, is also very impressive (except for the stupid mushroom waterfall in the kid’s wading pool - why bother?!). Overall, it seems to be a good place for own stay. No wonder she is swayed.

In the end, at about RM580k for the 2-storey links, it seems to be quite a good buy for own stay. I only had wish that the specifications given are much better. Have a look at the photos. The 3-storey Semi-Ds (Areca) looks very impressive, it reminded me a lot of Idamansara but this one the specs are somehow downgraded when compared to the E&O one. Also, for me the location is really beyond me, but given a few years, when more developments are completed, this could be a very nice development in the future.

More photos after the jump. These photos are taken 25th May 2009.

One Menerung, Bangsar Progress Photos

Friday, July 10th, 2009

I realised that I have forgotten to post these photos of the gorgeous One Menerung, Bangsar. These photos are taken early May, so I suspect by now the development is ready for handover, for the first Phase at least. During my visit to the showroom, there were many units still available in the last block which faces the Damansara side. Also there were attractive offers such as cash rebates after first 2 years and complimentary fittings for the unit. I will provide more details later. More progress photos after the jump.
