City & Country: Hot spot

There was a sense of exclusivity and tranquility in the neighbourhood when City & Country took a drive along Jalan Madge and Persiaran Madge recently, despite the numerous ongoing developments in the area.

One encounters relatively wide roads and big, shady trees. Perhaps it has all the signs of a “winning formula” — a combination of international and private schools nearby such as Sayfol International School, amenities within walking distance and numerous embassies in and around the area, including those of North Korea, Iraq, Libya, Switzerland (currently under renovation) and China. The area has turned into an international residential enclave of sorts over the years.

Malaysia’s FDI outflow surpasses inflow

KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time, Malaysia saw its outflow of foreign direct investments (FDIs) surpass the inflow last year. What this effectively means is that there were more funds flowing out for investments abroad than FDIs coming into the country.

Mid Valley City gets cybercentre status

PROPERTY developer IGB Corp Bhd has pumped RM15 million into Mid Valley City, to enable fibre-optic connectivity through-out its mixed-development hub.

Mid Valley City recently received MSC Malaysia Cybercentre status on September 11 under the MSC Malaysia National Roll-Out plan.

City & Country: No stopping DIAN

The sun is cooperative; the skies blue. The venue: Forest Reserve Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Selangor. It is against this backdrop of natural beauty that Dian Lee, eldest daughter of veteran property developer Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, presents Clearwater Group’s upcoming and most ambitious property development project. Someone remarks during the two-hour photo shoot at the site that the poses struck by Dian and her team of ladies bear a resemblance to scenes from the popular TV series Sex and the City.
